When I think of adventure photographers I think of three people: Frank Hurley, Chris Burkard and the person in that plane, Ragnar Axelsson. As we got ready for the final push to Iceland's highest peak, we started hearing a distant engine roar growing more intense. Soon, a small dot emerged by the peak before flying over our heads to a joyful cheer from our group. After that he did a few loops around us and the peak before disappearing back into the distance.
